About The Position

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Cards Operations Officer who will be responsible for managing and supporting the end-to-end processing, issuance, maintenance, and reconciliation of card products. This role ensures all card-related operations are executed accurately, securely, and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements.

What will your day look like ?

  • Process new card requests, replacements, re-issues, and upgrades.
  • Ensure timely and accurate card production and delivery coordination with vendors.
  • Monitor daily card transactions for anomalies and fraud.
  • Investigate and resolve customer disputes, chargebacks, and fraudulent claims in accordance with card scheme rules.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of card transactions and settlement accounts.
  • Prepare operational and regulatory reports related to card activities.
  • Work with IT and vendors to support card management systems (CMS), switch systems, and payment gateways.
  • Test system updates, card programs, and new feature rollouts.
  • Ensure all card operations comply with regulatory and internal risk policies.
  • Support audits and regulatory reviews by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal departments and branches regarding card-related queries.
  • Provide second-level support to customer service teams.

You are the person we are looking for if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in banking operations, preferably in cards or payment systems.
  • Proficiency with core banking and card management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
