About The Position

The Senior Business Development Specialist is responsible for acquiring and growing a portfolio of corporate, NGO, and institutional clients for Collection, Payroll, Disbursement, and related services. The role focuses on developing opportunities from lead generation to deal closure, building long-term client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue through strong pipeline management and cross-functional execution.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new corporate/NGO/institutional clients for Collection, Payroll, Disbursement, and other services
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline; manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Conduct client meetings, needs assessments, and solution presentations; propose tailored commercial offers
  • Coordinate with Product, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to ensure feasible solutions and timely onboarding
  • Prepare and follow up on proposals, RFP responses, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations
  • Achieve assigned sales targets (revenue, volume, and portfolio growth) and track performance metrics
  • Maintain ongoing relationship management for key clients to support retention, upsell/cross-sell, and issue resolution
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; provide feedback to support product/service enhancements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of business development / corporate sales experience, ideally in banking, fintech, or B2B financial services
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client portfolios
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to drive onboarding and delivery
  • Strong analytical skills to structure offers, assess profitability, and prioritize pipeline

Nice To Have

  • Existing network within corporate/NGO/institutional segments
  • Experience selling payroll, disbursement, collections, cash management, or payments solutions
  • Experience with RFP/tender processes and complex stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of basic AML/KYC considerations in corporate onboarding

Technical Skills

  • CRM proficiency (pipeline management, activity tracking, reporting) or ability to learn internal CRM quickly
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for client presentations and proposals
  • Strong Excel skills for pricing, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Comfortable working with commercial and operational data to build business cases
