Payables & Receivables Associate Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Payables & Receivables Associate Specialist to support payment controls, account reconciliation, receivables follow-up, and operational reporting. The role requires strong follow-up skills and the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
What You'll Do
Review and validate payment requests, supporting documents, approvals, and system entries.
Perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or duplicate requests.
Monitor pending, dormant, and outstanding accounts and ensure timely clearance, particularly at month-end.
Manage and follow up on employee receivables, including loans, advances, installments, salary deductions, and outstanding balances.
Follow up with third-party providers on prefunding, outstanding payments, receivables, and settlement discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records and ensure proper follow-up of balances until full closure.
Prepare and enhance Excel trackers, reconciliations, aging reports, and control reports.
Coordinate with HR, internal teams, and external providers to resolve pending cases and escalate exceptions when required.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience in Payables, Receivables, Accounting, Treasury, or Financial Operations.
Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and account movements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and strong follow-up capabilities.
Nice To Have
Previous experience in fintech, payment services, or a high-volume transactional environment.
Experience dealing with third-party service providers and prefunding/settlement processes.
Ability to independently identify process gaps and suggest improvements.
Experience with month-end closing and aging/outstanding balance reviews.
Technical Skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, reconciliation files, and reporting.
Experience using ERP or accounting systems.
Ability to create and maintain trackers, control reports, and reconciliation tools.
